Staff notifications are received by staff members if they are selected as the person being visited.
When a visitor or basic contractor signs into SecurePass, the person selected in the “Person Visiting” box will receive notifications via both email and mobile contact numbers, informing them of the visitor's arrival.
Note: If a staff member does not have a mobile number added to their profile in the SecurePass backend by a system admin, they will only receive an email notification. SecurePass requires all staff accounts to have an associated email address.
Email Notification
When your visitor or contractor arrives on-site to see you, you will receive an email notification that includes the following details:
- Visitor’s Name
- Company they are representing (if provided during sign-in)
- Mobile Phone Number (required)
- Location they are signing in to
- Email Address (if provided during sign-in)
Mobile Notification
In addition to the email notification, if a staff member’s mobile number has been added to their profile, they will receive an SMS notification when a user selects them as the person they are visiting. The SMS will include the visitor’s contact number highlighted in the message.
Visitor signed in for over 2 hours
In addition to the initial notification for Visitor/Contractor, if a person visiting your location is still signed in for over 2 hours, you will receive an additional email notification.
This email will contain a link that allows the staff member to sign out the visitor, if appropriate.
Visitors/Basic Contractors Notifications
When visitors or basic contractors sign in on site, they will not receive an initial notification.
However, they will receive two notifications to the mobile number they provided during sign-in.
The first notification will be triggered if the user has been signed in for over 3 hours, and the second one will be sent if they are still signed in after 9 hours.
Both text messages will contain a clickable link that allows users to sign themselves out if they have already left the site.
Examples of these messages can be seen below.
