Disabling Guided Access allows you to access the settings page of your iPad device
Steps to Disable Guided Access.
The steps to disable Guided Access will vary depending on the iPad model type being used. If the iPad has a home button, users will need to be able to access that. If it does not have a home button, users will need to be able to access the Power Button located on the right-hand side of the device.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have your case keys close at hand before you start this process.
- Take the iPad out of its physical case if it does not have a home button. The case key would have been provided during the initial set-up.
- On the SecurePass sign-in Screen tap the power or home button 3 times.
- Enter your 4 to 6-digit Guided Access passcode.
- Click the End button that appears.
- A new message will appear saying that Guided Access has now ended.
You will now be able to access the settings section on the iPads to perform updates
If the guided access message does not appear, your iPad will most likely be on the previous Kiosk Mode policy HealthSafe used to enforce. Please contact support@healthsafe.co for assistance.
