How to create a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass

Contractor Business Types is a useful tools that allows organisations to set the Mandatory requirements, Contractor Businesses and Employees must meet in order to sign on.

Creating a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass is an important and useful step to assign and manage the documents required for a contractor business and its employees.

These documents if they have been marked as Mandatory must be in placed in the system before they can successfully sign into a client site.

 

  • Contractor Business Type can only be created by System Admins. 

Please ensure that you have consider using this feature, BEFORE inviting Contractor Business Admins  

 

 

How to create a Contractor Business Type 

A site admin can create a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass by following the steps below:

  1. Log into the SecurePass Admin portal dashboard.
  2. From the homepage, navigate to the ‘People’ menu > Contractor.
  3. Click the ‘Contractor Business Types’ button.

How to set Mandatory Requirements for Businesses

 

  1. Click the ‘New Contractor Business Type’ button.
  2. Input a name for the Sector/Industry.
  3. Add the Contractor Business Requirements.
  4. Add the Contractor Business Employee Requirements.
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button.


How to assign a Contractor Business Type to a contractor business:

 

  1. Go to any contractor business that has been created by clicking its respective ‘Edit’ button.
  2. In the contractor business profile page, select a value to assign in the ‘Contractor Business Type’ field.
  3. To save, click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
  4. Wait for the page to automatically refresh itself.
  5. Check the ‘Documents & Dates’ table to ensure that the documents required under the assigned Contractor Business Type are properly listed.
