Create a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass

Creating a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass is an important and useful step to assign and manage the documents required for a contractor business and its employees.

These documents must be in place in the system before they can successfully sign into a client site.

 

A site admin can create a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass by following the steps below:

  1. Log into the SecurePass Admin portal dashboard.
  2. From the homepage, navigate to the ‘People’ menu > Contractor.
  3. Click the ‘Contractor Business Types’ button.


  1. Click the ‘New Contractor Business Type’ button.
  2. Input a name for the Sector/Industry.
  3. Add the Contractor Business Requirements.
  4. Add the Contractor Business Employee Requirements.
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button.


To assign a Contractor Business Type to a contractor business:

  1. Go to any contractor business by clicking its respective ‘Edit’ button.
  2. In the contractor business profile page, select a value to assign in the ‘Contractor Business Type’ field.
  3. To save, click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
  4. Wait for the page to automatically refresh itself.
  5. Check the ‘Documents & Dates’ table to ensure that the documents required under the assigned Contractor Business Type are properly listed.
