Contractor Business Types is a useful tools that allows organisations to set the Mandatory requirements, Contractor Businesses and Employees must meet in order to sign on.
Creating a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass is an important and useful step to assign and manage the documents required for a contractor business and its employees.
These documents if they have been marked as Mandatory must be in placed in the system before they can successfully sign into a client site.
- Contractor Business Type can only be created by System Admins.
Please ensure that you have consider using this feature, BEFORE inviting Contractor Business Admins
How to create a Contractor Business Type
A site admin can create a Contractor Business Type in SecurePass by following the steps below:
- Log into the SecurePass Admin portal dashboard.
- From the homepage, navigate to the ‘People’ menu > Contractor.
- Click the ‘Contractor Business Types’ button.
How to set Mandatory Requirements for Businesses
- Click the ‘New Contractor Business Type’ button.
- Input a name for the Sector/Industry.
- Add the Contractor Business Requirements.
- Add the Contractor Business Employee Requirements.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
How to assign a Contractor Business Type to a contractor business:
- Go to any contractor business that has been created by clicking its respective ‘Edit’ button.
- In the contractor business profile page, select a value to assign in the ‘Contractor Business Type’ field.
- To save, click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
- Wait for the page to automatically refresh itself.
- Check the ‘Documents & Dates’ table to ensure that the documents required under the assigned Contractor Business Type are properly listed.
